Personal Health Partnership will enable me to spend the time with my patients that they need and should have - time which is so important to health and well-being.  In this partnership, we will strive together to maintain health, prevent illness, and keep you feeling well.

I am a Board Certified Internist and have been practicing medicine for over 20 years.  Prior to medical school, I graduated from Northeastern University (1981) in Boston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and became a Licensed Pharmacist.  Thereafter, for two years I worked full-time at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston doing research in the Cardiac Immunology Division and also held down two part-time Pharmacy jobs at the MGH Outpatient Pharmacy and Faulkner Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy in Jamaica Plain, MA.  I then attended Albany Medical College from 1983-1987 where I obtained my M.D. degree and while doing so worked for Rite-Aide Pharmacy part-time.  I did my residency training in Internal Medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield finishing in 1990.  I then practiced medicine in Springfield for a number of years seeing patients in my office and attending to them at both Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Hospital.  Desiring a change in venue, I joined the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Keene, New Hampshire division for a number of years before returning to my roots of Western Massachusetts (I grew up in Holyoke) assuming the practice of greatly respected Dr. Warren Fisher in the fall of 2002.

I have practiced adult primary care medicine in my private practice here in Northampton for more than 11 years.  During that time, I have tried to provide you, my patients, with the best, personalized care.  To me, that means taking the time that is needed to address your issues as fully as possible, speaking with you and your family at other times as needed, and being available at night and on weekends by phone for urgent after-hours matters.  It also means reviewing all your reports and tests from consultants, talking with consultants about your care, coordinating your care from other providers, and continuing to educate myself about new developments in medicine.  Finally, it means having an office staff that provides personalized service to you and works hard to make your visits with us as pleasant as possible.
